Holly | Bridal Portrait

September 22, 2015

Before having lived in Texas I had never heard of bridal portraits.  It seems to me that not as many people do them on the West Coast and now that I’ve done them many many times I can’t for the life of me figure out why that is.  They are one of my favorite sessions.  They are a perfect excuse for a trial hair and make-up run for the big day and they also take a lot of stress out of the wedding day. Plus, they’re just downright fun and every bride I’ve done them for has loved them.

This bride is no exception.  Holly is amazing.  She’s one of my daughters all time favorite people and has been since the moment she first met her and also one of my favorite people.  She’s kind, friendly and so much to hang out with.  I was super excited when her and her, now husband, Justin asked me to photograph their wedding and I was even more excited when she requested bridal portraits.

Holly lives out of state so coordinating the day for the session and finding a hair dresser whose schedule worked with both her and my schedule was no simple task, but together and with the wonderful styling of Julie Bean we made it happen.  Holly, thank you for having me photograph you, you made an exceptionally beautiful bride and thank you also for tolerating both the heat and the extended and uncomfortable poses I placed you in that day.  Check out the beautiful Holly below!
